ADSL is back to what it used to be - the speed you get from your ADSL router to the Telecom exchange is as fast as the telephone line will permit. This is a maximum theoretical speed somewhere in the vicinity of 7Mbps. The internationally accepted average speed of an ADSL connection is closer to 1.6Mbps.
The speed you send information out at is still closer to a maximum of around 700kbps.
And you can now do a lot more data for your dollar.
